寵物友善精油蠟燭?Are essential oils candles pet-friendly?

One of the questions we often get asked is, 'Is it okay to light our candles with our furry friends around?'

Essential oils straight from nature sound all lovely and natural, but they're concentrated, and some natural components aren't easily metabolized by our furry pals. Plus, their senses are way more sensitive than ours. So, it's a no-go to apply them directly on pets or even on ourselves [1].

But what about essential oil candles, you ask? Well, here are some guidelines to follow!

1. After lighting up, keep an eye on your dog or cat.
2. Make sure there's a bit of airflow; don't seal off all the doors and windows (we usually keep a window open about the width of a thumbs-up).

3. Just let a hint of essential oil linger in the space.

The upcoming reed diffusers and body oils will follow the same rule. As long as they don't directly touch your furry friend's skin and they're not forced to stay in a fragrant room, you're good to go!

[1]: If you want to use essential oils on your skin, mix them with a suitable carrier oil. When there's a small amount of essential oil, you can apply it directly to the skin when needed, like with true lavender or tea tree oils.
